To the Editor:

The old town hall on Rt. 6 Watertown is “up for sale.” My vision: Why couldn’t it be used and added to our town green located on the corner of Main Street and Rt. 6 that is quite small?

There are enough taxpayer dollars to do this.

There is a lot of nostalgia for the old town hall with more land, lamp posts and the Roman numeral clock on top of the building.

The local Paugasuck Indians sold that area of land to Thomas Judd and 35 other proprietors in 1684; a lot of history there.

There is a bakery and drugstore next to the old town hall.
