SHELTON - In a non-league hockey game, the Cadets of St. Joseph High School outscored the Watertown-Pomperaug Co-op, 7-4, at the Shelton Rinks on February 8.

Despite two goals by sophomore forward Matt Christina, the Indians lost their 11th consecutive game, taking a 2-14-0 overall record into their game against Immaculate High School of the SCC-SWC’s Division I on Wednesday, February 12 at the Danbury Ice Arena.

Game time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.  

Scoring once apiece for the Indians were senior Brandon Mercede and sophomore Aiden Kane.

In a contest between SCC-SWC Division II rivals, Daniel Hand High School defeated the Indians, 6-0 at the Northford Ice Arena on February 5.

The victory for the hosting Tigers of Madison was a big one; not only was it their 11th in 13 games with one tie, it moved them to within one point of division-leading North Haven High School at 4-0-1 with nine points, while the Indians dropped to 2-6-0 in divisional play and 2-13-0 overall.

Ethan Massey led Hand with two goals and two assists; Brendan Ryan, Joey Deangelis, Teddy Licari, and Tatum Fitzmaurice added one goal apiece. 

Sharing the goaltending duties and the shutout were Alex Schiano and Eric Dillner, both with 10 saves.
