DANBURY — The Connecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich, will hold auditions for its upcoming spring concert, which will be held on Sunday, March 29, in the First Congregational Church of Danbury, 164 Deer Hill Ave.

Those who wish to schedule an audition are invited to call 203-740-9533.

The program in March will feature Dave Brubeck’s “To Hope! A Celebration” and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the composer’s birth.

Legendary for his unique jazz, he also gained wide recognition as a composer of classical compositions.

Also on the program is a collection of spirituals by André Thomas.

Dr. Thomas is a distinguished conductor, composer and arranger who is well known for his arrangements of traditional spirituals, which includes “I’m Gonna Sing,” “Deep River,” “Swing Down Chariot,” “Keep Your Lamps,” and more.

The concert will be accompanied by the Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra, Joseph Jacovino on piano, and we will be joined by Mezzo-Soprano Wendy Gerbier and Tenor Marques Hollie.
